The City Government of Naga launched its single-pole policy on February 7, 2025, aiming to regulate the installation, restoration, and maintenance of distribution lines. This policy, outlined in City Ordinance 2024-45, mandates the integration of all utility wires into a single shared pole, starting in Barangay Langtad. Mayor Valdemar Chiong emphasized the policy's focus on enhancing the city's aesthetics and cultural-historical value.
TO ENHANCE the city’s aesthetics and cultural-historical value, the City Government of Naga launched its single-pole policy on Friday, Feb. 7, 2025. The policy, established under City Ordinance 2024-45, which was approved last September, aims to regulate the installation, restoration and maintenance of distribution lines.
In coordination with the Office of the Building Official and the Office of the City Planning and Development Coordinator, the Office of the City Engineer developed an approved utility installation location plan to regulate the installation, restoration and maintenance of distribution lines. The location plan was developed using wire maps, pole locations, water line maps and other required documents.
