The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) conducted separate operations in Naga City and Pasay City, resulting in the arrest of two individuals accused of sexually exploiting women and minors. In Naga City, Marjohn Lanera Boragay was apprehended for offering ten females, including two minors, for sexual exploitation. Meanwhile, in Pasay City, a Chinese national named Bing Abing was arrested for allegedly offering women for sexual services through a Telegram channel.
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) apprehended two individuals in separate operations for their alleged involvement in the sexual exploitation of women and minors. In Naga City, Marjohn Lanera Boragay was arrested after offering ten females, including two minors, for sexual exploitation in Barangay Bagumabayan. Boragay was taken into custody during an entrapment operation, and the ten victims were rescued.
The two minors were subsequently handed over to the City Social Welfare Development (CSWD) of Naga City for necessary counseling and support. Boragay is currently undergoing inquest proceedings and faces charges under the Anti-trafficking Act.In a separate incident in Pasay City, NBI operatives arrested a Chinese national identified as Bing Abing for allegedly offering women for sexual services. The NBI Organized and Transnational Crimes Division (OTCD) received information about a Telegram channel that disseminated nude photos of women and advertised their services for prices ranging from P6,500 to P18,000. The channel promised customers sexual encounters with these women inside a hotel located on San Juan Street in Pasay City. Through an entrapment operation involving a poseur-customer, the NBI successfully apprehended Abing after he offered women to engage in sexual acts for P25,000. Abing is scheduled to be charged with violations of the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2022.
