The town of Porac, Pampanga, inaugurated its new P420 million town hall on Wednesday, designed after the US Library of Congress. The strategically located building on a three-hectare lot aims to provide easy access for the town's 29 barangays. Senator Lito Lapid, who funded the construction through his pork barrel, led the blessing and inauguration ceremony alongside Pampanga Vice Governor Lilia Pineda and Porac Acting Mayor Myla Clarete. The project, initially costing P370 million, saw an increase to P420 million due to site development expenses.

The blessing and inauguration ceremony was led by Sen. Lito Lapid, who provided funds for the town hall’s construction from his pork barrel and attended by Pampanga Vice Gov. Lilia Pineda, Porac acting Mayor Myla Clarete, as well as several mayors from the province.
Public Works District engineer Bryan Frias said that the total cost reached P420 million—P270 million for the building and P150 million for site development.
