Philippines to Rehabilitate EDSA Starting 2025

The Philippine government will undertake major infrastructure projects this year, including the complete rehabilitation of EDSA. DPWH Secretary Manny Bonoan said improving the riding quality in EDSA is a priority project of President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. The rehabilitation aims to address long-standing issues with the highway and enhance commuting experience for millions of Filipinos. The project is expected to be completed in 2025 along with other major infrastructure initiatives like the bridge in Zamboanga Sibugay, two bridges in Sulu, and the Central Luzon Expressway (CLLEX).

Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Manny Bonoan said Wednesday that the Philippine government would undertake major infrastructure projects this year, including the complete rehabilitation of EDSA .During an interview on Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon, Bonoan said improving the riding quality in EDSA is included in the priority projects of President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. “Ang gusto ni Presidente dapat we have to improve actually ‘yung riding quality of EDSA .

So, I think it’s about time that we need to rehabilitate EDSA once and for all,” he added. The rehabilitation project aims to address long-standing issues with the highway as well as enhance the overall commuting experience for millions of Filipinos, according to Bonoan. The DPWH chief said he expects the rehabilitation project to be completed this year.Meanwhile, he further listed other major infrastructure initiatives that are expected to be finished in 2025.
