The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) reported that the ongoing Misa de Gallo and Pasko Fiesta events have been peaceful with no incidents or threats reported. The security agency has monitored zero criminal activities, violence, or significant threats since the start of the Misa de Gallo on December 16 and the month-long Pasko Fiesta celebration, which began on November 28.
THE Davao City Police Office reported that the ongoing Misa de Gallo and Pasko Fiesta events have been peaceful, with no incidents or threats reported.DCPO Captain Hazel Tuazon shared with Davao media during the Davao Peace and Security Press Corps on December 18, 2024, that the security agency has monitored zero criminal activities, violence, or significant threats since the start of the Misa de Gallo on December 16, and the month-long Pasko Fiesta celebration, which began on November 28.
For Misa de Gallo, the DCPO deployed 1,013 police personnel to monitor 43 major churches in the city. Officers will remain on duty from December 16 to 24, ensuring strict security measures for churchgoers.Meanwhile, the Davao City Public Safety and Security Office deployed 35,386 personnel from various government and security agencies to oversee the safety of the Pasko Fiesta sa Dabaw 2024, which runs until January 1, 2025.
