The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) is monitoring a new low pressure area (LPA) brewing east of the country.
Weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin on Wednesday said the trough of the LPA outside the Philippine area of responsibility will bring rains over Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region.
The provinces of Pangasinan, Zambales, and Bataan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to localized thunderstorms. PAGASA advised the public and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices concerned to continue monitoring the weather condition and the next advisory to be issued.
