THE Police Regional Office in Western Visayas reported a generally peaceful Misa de Gallo celebration across the region on December 16, 2024. No significant incidents were recorded during the traditional pre-dawn masses, according to PRO 6 Director Police Brigadier General Jack Wanky.Wanky attributed the incident-free celebration to the efficient cooperation between law enforcement agencies, local government units, and the community.“Let’s sustain our deployment until the end of the year.
'And if a crime happens, make sure that the suspect or suspects are identified, arrested, if not, appropriate charges are filed,' he added.Around 2,400 police personnel were deployed to maintain peace and order in plazas, churches, and other places of convergence.
