Bruce Tolentino and Anita Linda Aquino that their resignations — earlier reported to have been made in May — had been accepted and were effective June 30.
Malacañang has also yet to issue a statement regarding the resignations or potential replacements. By law, the members of the Monetary Board are appointed by the president.The central bank said the policymaking body, which met just last Thursday and decided to keep key interest rates unchanged, would still be able to fulfill its function.
