DAVAO CITY – Mindanao Development Authority Chairman Secretary Leo Tereso Magno highlighted the 2024 Innovation Summit’s essential role in unlocking investment opportunities in Mindanao.

The three-day summit kicked off on Thursday, Nov. 7, at SMX Convention Center here, gathering leading experts and stakeholders from across Mindanao to foster collaborations, drive technological progress, and develop innovative solutions for economic growth.

“The opportunities before us are limitless as innovation opens new avenues for expansion and enhancements in all areas of life. Innovation has always been the driving force behind the growth of great economies,” Magno said. “Mindanao has transformed from a conflict-ridden area into an island of peace, beauty, and prosperity – showcasing the benefits of stability under Bagong Pilipinas,” Magno said, stressing how this peaceful environment now fosters sustainable innovation.

Torres said that they have been working closely with ICT Davao Inc. to enhance the summit and ensure the growth and success of Davao’s digital landscape, which is vital to the city’s expanding digital economy.
