DAVAO CITY – Davao City first district Rep. Paolo Duterte tested negative for illegal drugs in the hair follicle test taken at Hi-Precision Diagnostics Center in Mandaluyong City on Oct. 23.

A hair sample was taken and screened for multiple drugs – amphetamine, methamphetamine, cocaine and metabolites, opiates, extended opiates, phencyclidine, THC metabolite or marijuana, and benzodiazepines. The official document, dated Oct. 28, certified by Hi-Precision Diagnostics, attested the thorough screening process using advanced techniques such as ELISA for initial testing and GC/MS or LC/MS/MS for confirmation.
