Three mega tents at Cuidad de Victoria in Bulacan are being eyed as quarantine facilities for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) bared Tuesday.
The department said it is “working for the modification of three mega tents” at the Ciudad de Victoria in Bocaue, Bulacan, to augment the country’s facilities in the fight against the dreaded disease.
Villar said “the mega tent facilities were offered by the Igleasia Ni Cristo to help the government curb the spread of COVID-19.” Based on the assessment conducted by the agency, the existing steel frame and other partition materials in the mega tents have to be modified to ensure that it complies with the Department of Health standards for health facilities.
Sadain, on the other hand, said the support of private contractors and other partners similar to that provided at Philippine International Convention Center , World Trade Center, and Rizal Memorial Coliseum would consequently speed up the development of facility at Ciudad de Victoria to meet the needs for urgent health care.
