MANILA - The Philippines now has 15 testing facilities for the coronavirus disease 2019 , according to National Task Force COVID-19 chief implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr.
In a televised briefing Sunday, Galvez said the facilities will be used in testing and identifying COVID-19 patients in the country.
According to Galvez, there are currently 645 probable COVID-19 cases and 900 suspected cases being treated in the said facilities. In the coming weeks, 9 more mass quarantine facilities will be operational, while 4 additional COVID-19 referral hospitals, with a bed capacity of 830, will start accepting patients, Galvez also said.
