Mayor Abby says Makati City building additional COVID-19 quarantine facilities

The construction of additional emergency quarantine facilities by the local government of Makati City for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients started on Monday, April 13.

This was announced by Mayor Abigail “Abby” Binay, saying such will augment the capacity of hospitals serving COVID-19 patients and persons under investigation .

Three temporary structures will be built at Pembo Elementary School and one at the parking area of Ospital ng Makati, Binay said. Makati City said the construction of four quarantine facilities is expected to be completed “immediately.” “We have taken strategic measures to battle this pandemic and flatten the curve of the virus. The city will continue to think of ways to make sure that every Makatizen is safe and healthy,” she continued.
