DITO Telecommunity Corp. on Tuesday said it passed its fourth mandatory performance audit by the National Telecommunications Commission. “Despite all the challenges that we have faced, we continue to achieve our commitments to the government and the Filipino people, to provide affordable world-class service and to serve the underserved,” DITO Telecom chief administrative officer Adel Tamano said.

“This is in support of the Marcos administration’s drive towards digitalization and Nation-building,” he said. The NTC said independent auditor R.G. Manabat & Co. found that DITO has a national population coverage of 80.65 percent. With respect to the minimum average broadband speeds , DITO was clocked at 74.97 megabits per second for 4G and 639.32 Mbps for 5G for all sites with combined MABS of 357.14 Mbps. Based on the factual findings of its independent auditor, NTC said DITO “passed” the technical audit of its national population coverage and MABS for the fourth year. The yearly independent audit is part of the conditions set forth in the certificate of public convenience and necessity given to the telco. is wonderful news and testament to how far the network of DITO has grown since we started building our first tower in 2019, and fortuitously after OpenSignal, awarded DITO four impressive awards in their latest report: Upload Speed Experience, Availability, Excellent Consistent Quality, and Core Consistent Quality,” DITO chief technology officer Rodolfo Santiago said.DITO earlier said it allotted P27 billion this year, lower than the P50-billion capital expenditures last year. The company spent over P150 billion for the initial rollout of its infrastructure and other operating expenses as part of its commitment to invest P257 billion over a five-year period to achieve 55 Mbps of internet speed, covering 84 percent of the population.
