Baguio records new COVID19 infection, first case in 13 days

A woman tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 in Baguio, as confirmed by the local government through its public information office on Friday.

Prior to the development, Baguio had not recorded new COVID-19 cases for 13 days. This recent infection involved a 46-year-old street sweeper.The woman underwent rapid testing on April 8, before a polymerase chain reaction test was also conducted on April 9. According to the city government, she started experiencing symptoms on April 3 and had herself checked on April 7.
