COMMISSION on Elections chairperson George Garcia urged candidates for the May 2025 midterm elections to use environment-friendly campaign materials .In a radio interview, Garcia said the Comelec has created a committee in environmentally sustainable elections to push for the use of biodegradable campaign materials in a bid to protect the environment.“Sana huwag gagamit ng non-biodegradable materials, ‘yung mga plastic o ‘yung mga na tarpaulin.
As indicated under Section 6 of Comelec Resolution 10730, campaign paraphernalia such as pamphlets, leaflets, cards, decals, stickers or other written or printed materials should not exceed eight and one-half inches in width and 14 inches in length.
