THE Department of Environment and Natural Resources has effected changes in the directorship of its Environmental Management Bureau regional office, an agency that provides research and laboratory services and serves as the secretariat in the adjudication of pollution cases.The DENR-Zamboanga Peninsula said in a statement on Friday, January 10, 2025, that lawyer Abbas Lao was installed as the officer-in-charge of EMB-Zamboanga Peninsula, replacing Alex Jimenez.
Jimenez thanked his colleagues, partners, and the community for their support during his tenure as EMB-Zamboanga Peninsula director, while pledged full commitment to leading EMB regional office in its environmental stewardship goals and underscored the importance of teamwork in achieving these objectives.
