ZAMBOANGA CITY – The Police Regional Office-9 on Wednesday, Feb. 5, led the signing of a peace covenant and solidarity pact with stakeholders in the Zamboanga Peninsula region for the May elections in Camp Romeo Abendan, Barangay Mercedes, this city.
PRO-9 Director Police Brig. Gen. Roel Rodolfo, who led the signing, described the covenant as a historical declaration and solemn commitment that will echo beyond the PRO-9 headquarters and various communities for the betterment of the future generations. Rodolfo said the signing was not just a formality but also a promise to uphold a steadfast commitment to peace and will not allow violence to hamper the elections.
