PRO-Davao to Deploy 6,009 Police for 2025 Elections

The Police Regional Office-Davao Region (PRO-Davao) will deploy 6,009 police personnel for the upcoming local and national elections scheduled for May 12, 2025. PRO-Davao spokesperson Major Catherine Dela Rey announced this during a press briefing with the Davao Peace and Security Press Corps on January 8, 2025. The deployment will begin on January 12, and the exact number of personnel assigned to different areas is yet to be finalized. PRO-Davao has also been re-assigning police officers with relatives running for office since last year, in line with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) guidelines.
