President Marcos continued to enjoy high trust and approval ratings from the majority of Filipinos while Vice President Sara Duterte’s support dipped 10
Vito Barcelo, Maricel Cruz & Rachelle Tonelada percentage points—the highest decline among the top four elected officials—OCTA Research’s latest non-commissioned “Tugon ng Masa” survey showed.
“This marks the first time both the trust and performance ratings of the VP have fallen below the majority threshold. Notably, these figures represent the lowest ratings for the Vice President recorded since December 2023 and reflect a continuing downward trend,” the research firm added. The research firm noted that his 58 percent trust rating reflects a modest 3-point decline from the previous quarter, while his 59 percent satisfaction rating withstood a similar 3-point dip.
