PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. urged Filipinos to have an inward-looking and progressive mind as they welcome the New Year .'I extend my most heartfelt greetings to Filipinos across the country and the world as we celebrate the New Year . Brimming with well-wishes and resolutions, this occasion is widely heralded as an opportunity to learn from the lessons of the past and apply the wisdom gained to better oneself,' Marcos said in a message released on New Year 's Eve.

'It is our desire for our citizens to embrace this outlook and adopt an introspective and growth-focused mindset that balances the realities of yesterday and the promises of tomorrow,' he added.
