The driver of an SUV with diplomatic plates of the US Embassy was issued a ticket by traffic enforcers for passing through the EDSA Busway along Ortigas Avenue on Friday morning.The Department of Transportation-Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation said the American driver failed to present a valid license and showed his passport instead.
“I would like to handle this through PNP, we’re going to Camp Crame…If we can just finish this, so this stays low, that will be much better.”The DOTr-SAICT, in a social media post, said, "The situation heated up when another American from the vehicle challenged the photo-taking of the passport, claiming it was illegal, and demanded the image be deleted.
