Willis’s jury trial was supposed to begin this week in Nova Scotia Supreme Court in Dartmouth but was adjourned Monday at the request of his lawyers. The reason for their request cannot be reported. Defence lawyers Godfred Chongatera and Laura McCarthy were not available for dates that were offered in the fall of 2023, when they will be tied up with another murder trial.The Crown alleges Willis broke into Harding’s house and killed her July 10, 2020.
