WASHINGTON, D.C.: The meeting between the Philippines, Japan, and the United States is the formation 'of a very strong alliance' vital for peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.Speaking at the Day of Valor commemoration at the National World War II Memorial here on Wednesday , Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez said the highly-anticipated face-to-face of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

To recall, the Battle of Bataan was fought by the United States and Philippine Commonwealth against Imperial Japan in 1942. The eventual surrender of the combined American and Filipino forces ended up with an estimated 17,000 dead during and after the Bataan Death March.'The leaders of the Philippines, United States, and Japan will convene for the historic trilateral summit.
