Johlene Clow helped lead a community effort last year to get the fridge built. It officially opened in November 2022.She added that as of Feb. 13, she had not been informed of an official cause of the fire, though she did say an electrical fire had been ruled out. The incident is still under investigation.
The Summerside Community Fridge will remain closed for repairs after being damaged by a fire Feb. 11. A police investigation is currently underway. - Facebook Parking is limited in the area around Summerside City Hall, Fire Station 1 and the police headquarters. In emergencies when firefighters need to respond to the fire hall, most of those spaces are needed for their personal vehicles.
