“We got there really quick, some scorching of the walls and melted plastic shelving,” said Enman when SaltWire Network spoke to him Feb. 12. “Some of the wiring was melted off a little bit.” The Summerside Community Fridge, located on the corner of Foundry and Granville streets, provides a way to share extra food – people leave grocery items and those in need can pick them up. The volunteer initiative celebrated its grand opening in November after many months of effort.
