The Capitals dropped two of three home games, missing out on an opportunity to earn valuable points in the tightly-contested Eastlink North Division standings.The Caps, who are 26-13-1-0 , lost 4-3 to the Grand Falls Rapids on Feb. 7, defeated the Miramichi Timberwolves 4-3 in overtime on Feb. 9 and dropped a 5-4 decision to the Pictou County Crushers on Feb. 11.
The Edmundston Blizzard, who defeated the Fredericton Red Wings on Feb. 12, sit atop the Eastlink North Division at 27-12-0-1. The Campbellton Tigers defeated Grand Falls 5-3 on Feb. 12 to move into second place, one point ahead of the Capitals and one behind the Blizzard as two points separate the three teams.
Caps fall 5-4 to the Pictou County Crushers. We are back in action at home Thursday night when Truro comes to town.
