Jacob Holmes, a prospect with the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League, has been named team captain for the Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario Hockey League.
“We are really happy to name Jacob Holmes as our captain in this special 50th season of Wolves hockey in the OHL,” said Sudbury Wolves VP and General Manager, Rob Papineau in a news release. “He embodies what it means to be a leader and a captain and is a true professional gentleman of character.” “Being named captain of a team with a lot of tradition and success in the past is something I’m very proud and humbled about, especially as the team embarks on its 50th season.
Larmand enters in his third season with the Sudbury Wolves. He was selected in the second round, 26th overall in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection, said the club. From Midland ON., Larmand has played in 107 games with the Wolves, and he also served as an assistant captain for the team during the 2021-22 season. That season he received the Wolves’ Joe Drago Players’ Player Award.
