President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed Ma. Norina Tangaro-Casingal as the new commissioner of the Commission on Elections (Comelec). Tangaro-Casingal, who served as the director of the Comelec Legal Department, replaces ex-commissioner Socorro Inting, who retired after completing her seven-year term.
