He set a deadline of January 24th afternoon for candidates to file their withdrawal applications at the Comelec office in Intramuros, Manila. After this deadline, while applications would still be accepted, the candidates' names would remain on the ballot.Garcia assured that Marcos' withdrawal would not result in any additional costs as the printing process had not yet begun. He stated that by Monday morning, the Comelec anticipated completing the updated ballot faces generation, serialization, and incorporating the latest names ordered by the Supreme Court. Garcia also mentioned his intention to inform Supreme Court Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo about the Comelec's decision to proceed with printing. He confirmed that the official ballot would include the names of nine national and local position aspirants, who are subject to temporary restraining orders (TROs) issued by the Supreme Court.The ballot printing resumption, originally planned for January 22nd, was delayed due to a TRO granted by the Supreme Court on Tuesday, which favored Norman Mangusin, also known as Francis Leo Marcos.
