Its international name is 'Shanshan.'The tropical storm, estimated some 2, 140 kilometers east of Central Luzon,is not expected to directly affect the archipelago in the coming days, weather specialist Benison Estareja said.
'The tropical storm is very far from the Philippine landmass,' according to the Pagasa forecaster.The state weather bureau in its 5 a.m. advisory said the easterlies - winds coming from the east that pass through the Pacific Ocean and carry humid and warm weather - are prevailing particularly over the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.
