POLICE in Iloilo City conducted a buy-bust operation with Iloilo City Police Station 10 in Barangay Tabucan, Mandurriao District, Iloilo City at 12:25 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2025. This led to the apprehension of a high-value suspect and the confiscation of approximately 105 grams of suspected shabu valued at P714,000.Police Regional Office in Western Visayas Director Brigadier General Jack Wanky praised the Iloilo City Police Office for its vigorous campaign against illegal drugs.

Drug Den Bust in Cebu City Nets Three SuspectsPhilippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 7 operatives, in collaboration with Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) Labangon Police Station 10, raided a drug den in Sitio Sto. Roasario, Barangay Labangon, Cebu City on January 8, 2025, at 8:50 PM, leading to the arrest of three suspects. The suspects identified as Harry (33), Renante (29), and Joseph (42), were found in possession of seven sachets of suspected shabu weighing 11 grams with an estimated market value of P74,800, along with drug paraphernalia. PDEA 7 received information from a concerned citizen two weeks prior to the raid, indicating that Harry was selling 20 grams of shabu per week. Meanwhile, in a separate buy-bust operation at Waterfront Police Station 3, authorities arrested 21-year-old construction worker Earl John Tupas (alias Dan-Dan) in Sitio Lomboy, Barangay San Roque, Cebu City at 10:00 PM on the same date. Tupas was found with five sachets of suspected shabu weighing 5 grams valued at P34,000. Both sets of suspects will face appropriate charges.
