The Iloilo City Police Office (Icpo) concluded a successful six-day campaign against prohibited boga (improvised noise-making devices) and illegal firecrackers from December 28, 2024, to January 2, 2025. The operations led to the confiscation of 225 bogas and 25 illegal firecrackers, valued at P14,500.Icpo Director Police Colonel Kim Legada emphasized the organization's dedication to public safety and community engagement in recent accomplishments.
“Through the collective efforts of our personnel, local government units, and the community, we ensured a safer and more peaceful New Year celebration,” said Legada.Data revealed that the Iloilo City Police Station (ICPS) 3 reported the highest number of seized bogas, with 39 units, while ICPS 7 confiscated the most illegal firecrackers.
