ALL eyes will be on World Chess Olympiad-bound Grandmaster-elect and International Master Daniel Quizon in pushing the “1st PMA Masikhay Class 99 Chess Tournament” to be held at the 3rd Level Wellness Space SM City- BF Parañaque on August 3.
According to Dableo, who is serving as the deputy to tournament director NM Marlon Bernardino, there is a P50,000 guaranteed prize in the event open to all Filipino and foreign chess players. On Quizon’s side, who will also represent the country in the 44th World Chess Olympiad that will begin on September 10 and end on the 23rd in Budapest, Hungary, it comes from back-to-back wins.
