An Australian university student has died suddenly in Bali after she flew to Indonesia from Perth for dental treatment. 7NEWS

Loader added his daughter, who was studying a master’s degree in international relations and national security at the University of Western Australia, had an “amazing future ahead of her”.Meanwhile, friends and family of Loader say they are all “devastated” by the loss of Niamh.

“We were all devastated by the sudden loss of our beautiful niece Niamh Finneran,” family member Eoghan wrote on Facebook.Loader’s friend Brodie added the UWA student was due to head to the US in February 2023 as part of the Mannkal Economic Education Foundation. “Niamh was a wonderful, kind, fun-loving young woman who brought brightness into everyone’s lives,” she said.

The Subiaco-based Mannkal Economic Education Foundation, which had offered Loader a scholarship to intern in 2023, also expressed their sympathy’s to Loader’s family and friends. “It is with great shock and sadness that we learned of the sudden passing of Mannkal Scholar Niamh Loader following a medical procedure,” the foundation wrote in a statement.
