Three more local governments units (LGUs) in the National Capital Region (NCR) have completed the distribution of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) emergency subsidies, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said on Tuesday.
The DSWD-NCR reported that aside from Caloocan City, cities of Manila, Pasig, and Parañaque recorded 100 percent SAP payout.
In Manila, a total of 185,680 low-income families have been served, receiving more than P1.48 billion worth of emergency subsidies, it said. DSWD-NCR regional director Vicente Gregorio Tomas earlier said aside from the three cities, among the LGUs that were able to serve more than half of their target beneficiaries were Valenzuela, Mandaluyong, Marikina, Pateros, Quezon City, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, and San Juan.
