The Department of Social Welfare and Development has lauded the local government units in three regions–CARAGA, Bicol, and Cordillera Administrative Region — for distributing in a timely manner the Social Amelioration Program emergency subsidies to their constituents.
“Muling kinikilala ng Department of Social Welfare and Development ang mabilis na pagpapatupad ng Social Amelioration Program ng mga local government units sa tatlong rehiyon,” the department said in a statement. It also cited the crucial role of barangay tanods and local security officers in ensuring peace and order during payouts.
The department also cited the Pasig City government for rolling out its own supplemental SAP to benefit 160,000 families who were not included in the initial list of SAP beneficiaries for the first tranche of cash subsidies.
