BREAKING: Four teens who went missing while paddleboarding in waters off Rosebud have been found alive on the other side of the bay.
Four teenagers have been found alive after disappearing while paddleboarding off Victoria’s coast, with emergency services combing the area searching for them.
The group were found after they were reported missing after using an inflatable paddleboard off Rosebud beach on Monday night.The alarm was raised by a passer-by, who found belongings including mobile phones, IDs and other personal items on the beach about 8pm. “Our marine experts who have done some modelling around there. [Currents are] going from that Rosebud area down towards The Heads, so that’s where our search is focused on,” he said.The teens are from Glen Waverley and their dad Jack Shi told Seven News they had just finished their VCE and were celebrating in the area.
“The outgoing tide plus the easterly [wind] pushed them towards The Heads, the kids would have been blowing quite easily towards Sorrento and Portsea,” he told Nine News.Joe Armao
