A search is underway for dozens of sailors stranded at sea after a Thailand Navy ship sank as rough seas caused its engine to malfunction.
The HTMS Sukhothai warship was patrolling the sea about 37 kilometres off Thailand’s southeastern coast on Sunday night when its engine malfunctioned during a rough storm.
Authorities confirmed 75 people were rescued overnight but search efforts continue for 31 missing sailors that were on board at the time of the failure.
