The Marikina City local government announced a new garbage collection schedule for the Holy Week. | ManilaBulletin
Garbage in Barangays Nangka, Parang, Fortune, and parts of Concepcion Uno will not be collected by City Environmental Management Office personnel on Friday, April 7.
Residents in these areas are advised to not leave their garbage bags outside their house on April 7. The CEMO also asked the affected households to wait for the garbage truck to arrive in their areas before taking out their garbage bags. Marikina’s CEMO uses a segregated waste management system wherein garbage collection is scheduled per barangay or district. Some days of the week are reserved for collection of biodegradable and non-biodegradable wastes.
