To check if the activation of previously offline areas in the Philippines was effective, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. made a surprise video call to various communities in the country.
According to the Department of Information and Communications Technology , a total of 4,757 live sites were activated in 17 regions, 75 provinces, including the National Capital Region under the government’s digitalization initiative—Broadband ng Masa .posted on the President’s official Facebook page on Monday, Dec. 26, he shared making a video call to various areas as far as Zamboanga City on Christmas.
“E mukha namang maganda itong bagong ating connection. Yung iba’t ibang lugar nagkaroon na ng internet kaya’t dadagdagan pa natin ,” he added.
