Some families were seen at bus terminals in Metro Manila before dawn on Sunday, Christmas Day, hoping to catch trips to their hometowns.

As of 5:20 a.m., the passenger lounge at a bus terminal in Cubao, Quezon City was slowly filling up, according to Super Radyo dzBB reporter Luisito Santos.

While majority of those traveling to their hometowns for the holidays did so before Christmas, a number chose to head for their provinces on Christmas Day when traffic is expected to be lighter.
