BACOLOD CITY – A stepfather admitted to the National Bureau of Investigation here that he molested his teenage stepdaughter who was found dead in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental last month.
The stepfather made the admission on Friday, August 30, after he was summoned following the recent appearance of his live-in partner, who is the victim’s mother, before the NBI.
The stepfather told the media that he is willing to face the charges that may be filed against him. He, however, denied involvement in the death of his 15-year-old stepdaughter. The victim was a Grade 10 student from Barangay Sum-ag here who disappeared on July 29 after she attended a half-day class. She was found lifeless two weeks later in a sugarcane field in Barangay Cubay on August 14.
The stepfather said that he has no idea who did it to his stepdaughter and he is not protecting anyone that might be involved in the incident. The NBI was not convinced on the stepfather’s response to the questions being asked and believe that he is lying because of his behavior.
