Running priest Fr. Robert Reyes issued this call to the Commission on Elections on Wednesday, March 2.

Running priest Fr. Robert Reyes calls on Comelec commissioners to respect the integrity of the elections. In an activity held outside the Comelec building in Intramuros, Manila, the priest called on the poll body to protect the integrity of the May 2022 polls and the sanctity of the vote of the Filipino people.

“You are here to uphold the truth, to preserve the integrity of our republic by recognizing each sacred vote of the Filipino people,” said Reyes. “Commissioners…do not prostitute our democracy. You are not prostitutes, you are commissioners commissioned by the Filipino people not by any politician,” he added.
