A petition asking the Supreme Court to declare as unconstitutional the application of the Commission on Elections' 'Oplan Baklas' on private citizens and their private properties was filed on Tuesday.The petitioners were St. Anthony College of Roxas City, Inc., represented by Geraldine Denoga in the petition; Pilita Liceralde of Isabela for Leni; and Anton Mari Hao Lim of Zamboangueños for Leni.

They are constitutionally protected speech', they said in the petition.'The wrong interpretation and implementation of Comelec Resolution 10730 cannot override and supersede constitutionally guaranteed rights; more so if it is expressed within the confine of ones' private property', they said.Comelec Resolution 10730 contains rules and regulations implementing the Fair Election Act in connection with the 2022 elections.
