Four individuals suspected of involvement in drug trafficking were apprehended in a drug bust operation executed by the Kabankalan City Police Station in Purok 6, Barangay 1, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, on Wednesday, January 15, at approximately 1:30 p.m. The arrested suspects, all residents of Barangay 1, Kabankalan City, were identified as Sonny Jane Villajera, 27; Jesmar Mahinay, 36; Peter Sario, 28; and Anton Hechanova, 18.

According to records from the Kabankalan City Police Station, the operation resulted from the suspects' alleged sale of a sachet of shabu to a decoy buyer. During the subsequent search, authorities seized 22 sachets of suspected shabu, collectively weighing 25 grams and estimated to be worth P170,000 in the illicit market. Additional items confiscated included P500 in marked money, P300 in cash, a pair of scissors, and other non-drug-related paraphernalia.Intelligence gathered by the Kabankalan City Police Station revealed that the suspects, identified as street-level drug dealers operating out of Bacolod City, had been under surveillance for nearly a month prior to their arrest. Currently, the suspects are being held at the Kabankalan City Police Station's custodial facility. They are facing charges under Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002
