Philippine authorities arrested Carmilo Florindo, 33, in a drug bust operation in Kabankalan City. An estimated ₱204,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized in a drug bust operation conducted by the Kabankalan City Police Station at Purok Nursery, Barangay Bantayan, Kabankalan City, at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8. The operation led to the arrest of Carmilo Florindo, 33, a resident of the village. According to the Kabankalan City Police Station, Florindo was apprehended after selling a sachet of shabu to an undercover buyer.
Police also seized ₱1,000 in marked money and drug paraphernalia. Additionally, an improvised shotgun loaded with one live round of 12-gauge ammunition and a .9mm caliber revolver with five live rounds of .9mm ammunition were found in Florindo’s possession. The suspect, identified as a street-level drug dealer in Kabankalan City, had been under surveillance for nearly a month before his arrest. Florindo is currently detained at the custodial facility of the Kabankalan City Police Station.
