Five people, including a 15-year-old male, lost their lives in a multi-vehicle collision in Kuching.
A horrific accident at Jalan Teo Kui Seng in Kuching , Sarawak , has claimed the lives of five people. The crash, involving three cars and two motorcycles, occurred this afternoon. Four people — three men and a woman — died at the scene. According to sources, a fifth victim, a 15-year-old male, succumbed to his injuries at the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) after being admitted in critical condition. It is unclear which vehicles the victims were traveling in.
Dashcam footage circulating on social media shows an out-of-control car, traveling from Jalan Lapangan Terbang towards Jalan Stutong Baru, flying through the air into the opposite lane and colliding with multiple vehicles. The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak received a distress call at 12:59 pm and reported victims trapped at the scene. A Bomba spokesperson stated that among the nine victims, four were killed at the scene — a woman, a man trapped in a Proton Saga who was extricated using rescue tools, and two other men, whose deaths were confirmed by medical personnel at the scene. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation
