MANILA, Philippines — A new Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey reveals that over half of Filipinos, at 59 percent, expressed satisfaction with the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. during the fourth quarter of 2024. The poll, conducted from December 12 to 18, 2024, indicated a net satisfaction rating of +36 for the Marcos administration, classifying it as 'good.

' This rating remained consistent with the September 2024 survey but showed a four-point decline from the 'good +40' recorded in June 2024. The decline followed a notable drop from 'very good +52' in December 2023 to 'moderate +29' in March 2024.Meanwhile, the number of undecided Filipinos increased by two percentage points, rising from 15 percent to 17 percent during the same period. Based on the SWS Governance Report Card, which evaluates the national government's performance across 17 specific areas, the Marcos administration achieved a 'very good' rating in five subjects, 'good' in seven, 'moderate' in one, 'neutral' in three, and 'poor' in one subject.The government received 'very good' ratings in five crucial areas: aiding disaster victims (+65), enhancing the quality of children's education (+60), supporting the poor (+57), implementing job creation policies (+51), and advancing science and technology (+51). It garnered 'good' scores for implementing housing programs for the poor (+49), ensuring food security (+46), maintaining an efficient public transportation system (+45), preparing for strong typhoons (+44), addressing challenges posed by climate change (+38), communicating truthfully with the people (+34), and defending Philippine sovereignty in the West Philippine Sea (+32)
