SES has issued an evacuation warning for residents in the Hawkesbury River community of Gronos Point to leave their homes on Sunday morning.
“We currently have 78 flood products out, including Emergency Warnings for Oura Beach Camping near Wagga and Western Plains Tourist Park at Dubbo,” NSW SES warned on Sunday.More than 70 warnings were in place across the state on Saturday night.“NSW SES is working closely with DPI and Local Land Services to understand the broader impact on primary producers as flood waters continue downstream.”
More than 70 warnings were in place across the state on Saturday night, with campers at a reserve on the Murrumbidgee River in Wagga Wagga advised to evacuate by Sunday morning.

Heavy rainfall and flood warnings continue across NSWHeavy rainfall and flood warnings remain in place around New South Wales, with people encouraged to visit the SES website for updates on their local area. “We’ve got over 600 volunteers that have been out there in the field in the last 24 hours,” SES Assistant Commissioner Sean Kearns told Sky News Australia. “It’s important to keep up to date with those warnings that are on the NSW SES website. “If there is intense localised rainfall it can lead to very quick flash flooding,' he said. “We’re going to see flooding occurring for days, if not weeks, in some of the western parts of the state.”
